This website allows anybody to ask for a favor. Basically asking for help or assistance. You may simply want to know the capital city of Switzerland or you may want to trade your good condition Manolo Blahnik shoes for a months singing lessons. You may also be a charity or fund that is seeking support. Students across the Web may want to exchange lecture notes and swap academic books, book readers may want to swap books and recommend good books.

2. How do I sign up? When can I get a Do Me a Favor Buddy member account?
To get a Do Me a Favor Buddy member account all you have to do is register for one.
3. How do I post a favor
To post a favor is to ASK for a favor or simply to let send a message for all Buddies to see. To respond to a favor is to OFFER a favor to a Buddy. After you have registered for a Do Me a Favor Buddy account you are able to post favors. The favor categories are in three main formats: general favors (such as information request or a request for help); sales/swaps; events. To post a favor simply click on the links that say 'Post a favor' or 'Events' or 'Auction Buddy'.

4. How do I check my favor replies
After you have logged in click on the 'my favors' link in the logged in menu. This will show you a list of the live and archived favors that you have posted. Each favor will show if there are any replies. If you have one or more replies to a favor, click on the favor title link and it will bring you to a page that shows all the replies the favor has had.

5. What makes Do Me a Favor Buddy different?
Do Me a Favor Buddy is a new type of auction or trading website. We bring people together who want to find stuff out or sell and swap goods. The website serves as a shop window for anyone anywhere to advertise their favors.
Do Me a Favor Buddy is currently a free service. Only job postings and property posting will be chargeable in the near future.
There are other differences. Do Me a Favor Buddy rewards Buddies who help others with virtual points. The “points = prizes” system gives points everytime a Buddy has been selected for their response. These points will be converted into prizes and/or discounts from our retail partners.
6. What about spam?
We are committed to keeping unwanted messages out of your account inbox. Do Me a Favor Buddy includes a sophisticated spam filter that we're continuing to improve. To report spam contact us. By reporting responses spam we will be able to keep a closer eye on spam and Buddies who are not genuine.
7. What does Do Me a Favor Buddy do to prevent viruses?
We take the security of our users very seriously. Most computer viruses are contained in executable files, but while standard virus detectors scan messages for executable files that appear to be viruses, Do Me a Favor Buddy takes this one step further by not allowing executable files to be sent or received.
8. Are there ads in Do Me a Favor Buddy?
Yes, but they are small and unobtrusive. They don't fill half your screen and we don't make you read them just to get to your inbox. Ads are never inserted into the body text of favor messages or responses and you won't see any pop-ups or untargeted banner ads.
Do Me a Favor Buddy users only see relevant ads per favor category. The matching of ads to content is a completely automated process performed by computers. No humans read your account details -unless in dispute resolution cases- to target the ads, and no email content or other personally identifiable information is ever provided to advertisers.

10. What is the full list of favor categories?
Do Me a Favor Buddy has several favor categories. Apart from the categories that you can see on the homepage there is a page that lists all the different categories. To see them all click here. The list of categories will change from time to time and we will notify our members when there is a new category or if a category is removed.
11. Is posting a favor FREE?
Yes. Posting a basic favor is free. Some categories will be paid for listings (such as job postings by recruitment firms or companies as well as property postings). The paid for lists will be clearly described and marked. £25/€25/$25 per 14 days will be the charge for paid for listings.
